Emerging Artist. Photographer.\nOne of the BU Creative Farm award winners\, Medina has a strong sense of color and composition.\nNOV 14th Mikey Stonch. Photographer\, who is currently located in St. Petersburg\, Florida. He has worked in many artistic mediums throughout his life such as music\, film\, writing and now photography. “I think the greatest common factor between all of them is story. “ A picture says a thousand words” is what I strive for in every photo opportunity.”\nNOV 21st Marian Tagliarino. For over 30 years\, the Tampa Bay area has been home to American photographer and photo collage artist\, Marian Tagliarino. She is focusing on her fine art photography\, collages\, and portraiture while continuing her involvement with the community.\nNOV 27th. WEDNESDAY . Robert Sutherland. Florida Kaleidoscope. A self-taught artist\, mentored by Judi Dazzio. Her paintings hang at the Dazzio Art Gallery and may be found in private and corporate collections.\nOCT 10th Gina White. Gina uses art to visually interpret philosophical writings\, music and poetry. Her work includes welding\, metal patination\, encaustic\, mixed media and oil painting.\nOCT 17th Janna Doughty. Artist creates\, to inspire others to laugh\, to smile\, to cry and to bring back memories of previous days. The end result is a beautiful piece that tells a story\, words just cannot.\nOCT 24th Catherine Benoot. Florida-based\, mixed-media fashion artist\, turned her love for buttons into one-of-a-kind art piece.\nOCT 31st Shelly Augsbury. She paints not because she wants to but because she has to.  When applying paint to canvas\, something inside her comes alive.  It can be as beautiful as a sunset or as chaotic and a storm. \n“My new Whimsical Steampunk Collection was created in 2018 as to put a smile on your face! What is Whimsical Steampunk? This is a fun fantasy of art that incorporates technology and design\, found objects and cogwheels of gears.” \nDebbie Bright is a signature member of the International Society of the Acrylic Painters – Florida (ISAP-FL) and has participated at many local benefits\, art shows and events. \n\n\n\nSpecial Event Guest: St. Petersburg Opera Company. The season starts in October with The Merry Widow by the Austro-Hungarian composer Franz Lehár. DESCRIPTION:MOSAIC ART from YBOR CITY\n\n\nFREE Opening Reception: AUGUST 10th 5:00-8:00 PM\n\n\nMaria Ortiz-Haynes is originally from Paterson\, New Jersey and is a proud resident of Tampa’s Ybor City. She is a self-taught mosaic artist. Her work is flavored by her family’s roots from Havana to Key West to Ybor City.\n\n\n\nHer signature work is unlike traditional mosaics and brings vibrancy and complexity to her unique style of using hand-cut pieces of stained glass of different sizes and bright\, bold colors that blend to create an overall fluid\, painted effect. She starts by drawing her design on a wood surface\, then using stained glass as her palette\, she hand-cuts the glass\, then glues the pieces on and finally seals and finishes the piece with grout. \n\n\n\nMaria’s work blends her Hispanic and African-American background. She invites you into her mosaic scenes to examine more closely what makes up the bigger picture – to explore all the hand-cut pieces that make the whole.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMEET THE ARTIST
